European Folk Day – September the 23rd
The 12th Todo Mundo, a world music festival, will be held in Belgrade from September 20 to 22, 2024, at the Jewish Cultural Center and the The SASA Institute of Musicology.
The main concert program of the festival includes six concerts by artists and groups from Belgium, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Serbia. The festival’s side events include an interview with one artist, mentoring sessions, the “Draškoci” award ceremony, and a conference. This year, Todo Mundo focuses on Roma music.
Last year, Todo Mundo Festival joined the celebration of European Folk Day, marking the first time this event was initiated. This year, given the festival’s dates, Todo Mundo will celebrate EFD one day earlier, on September 22nd, through the conference ”Roma People and Music: Freedom, Adaptation, Taking Over”, and concerts by Romano Drom and Terne Čhave.
