These videos were made for the European Folk Day 2024 by contributors to The Flutefling Collection. The Flutefling organisation commissioned and printed the collection during covid lockdown to provide some support to traditional musicians (particularly flute players) during that difficult time. The collection provides a lasting resource for traditional musicians, with contributors providing their favourite flute based tunes, both modern and old in the traditional style.
The Flutefling organisation is dedicated to provding classes, workshops and weekend events for people to learn and develop skills in traditional flute and whistle playing in a Scottish setting. For more details please go to https://flutefling.scot/
This video is part of the Scottish Flute Channel, dedicated to all things traditional whistle and flute playing in Scotland https://youtube.com@scottishflute3444
