European Folk Day – September the 23rd
Quartetto Areasud was founded in 2010 for fun and entertainment, with the aim of reviving the traditional music of Southern Italy and Sicily. The four musicians have built their career over the years by participating in the most important folk festivals in Europe and abroad. Their live performances mainly reflect the rich repertoire of tarantellas and serenades sung in the local dialect.
They released their first studio album “Musica lievemente tradizionale” in July 2021.
They are currently working on promoting their second album “Dorandismo”, released in January 2024.
