European Folk Day – September the 23rd
After last year’s success and again in celebration of the now 2nd European Folk Day neighbourhood initiative “schildHood” will be staging its second parking lot concert in Bad Kreuznach, Germany. Location is once again the parking lot at the Baptist Church in Carmer Street.
Like last year Dirk Bleisinger will be on hand with his “Toncafé” to provide the stage for three or four regional music acts – longside various coffee specialties. The event starts at 6 pm and is both highlight and conclusion of a yard sale taking place that afternoon in the area. After this will have closed everyone is cordially invited to relax with good folk music and a cup of coffee in a friendly and sociable athmosphere. 🙂
The line-up of bands is not yet finalized, but confirmed are local heroes Lost and Found as well as Celtic folk rockers Why didn’t they ask Evans? from the Hunsrück Mountains in a duo format.
The event is open to the public, admission is free. Donations for the artists are welcome.
